Connector as an essential component in the electronic routing protocol, connector sales market development trend is very fast, the main uses include automobiles, computers and external equipment, communications, mechanical equipment, electronics, transportation electronics, diagnosis and treatment electronics, communications electronics, electronic computers and other industries faster consumption, connector market demand volume continues to increase. The selection of connector materials looks especially critical. What should we pay attention to in the selection of connector materials? Connector contacts are metal materials with high frequency of insertion, so they must have excellent flame retardancy to prevent fire. Connector common materials are PBT, PET, PA, PPS, etc., good flame retardant performance. PBT material: Generally common PBT material plus 20-30% glass fiber, with crack fiber impact resistance, anti-shock ability, its wear resistance is good, the friction index is low, the wetting effect is very good, acid and alkali resistance to chemical properties. It still has very good volume resistivity at high temperature, high temperature and low temperature. Its shrinkage rate is 0.6%-3.0% in the middle, and its high temperature resistance is about 230℃. PBT material has good formability, flame retardant, and is a common material for connector products. Three high PBT: material with high GWFI/GWIT, high CTI, high mobility characteristics, in line with ROHS, REACH command, CQC certification, UL yellow card verification, can be used as connector material. Improve the flame retardant grade PET: The material has excellent flame retardant (halogen & resistance), high RTI, easy coloring, in line with ROHS, UL certification characteristics, typical models are FRPET1300, PETFR2300, can be used as connector material. Improved flame retardant grade PPE: The material has the characteristics of resistance, high fluidity, and reliability of specifications, and can be used as a connector material. Glass fiber enhanced PPS: Material with high stiffness, high tear resistance, high temperature resistance, can be used as a connector material. Resistance grade PPS: The material has the characteristics of resistance, excellent physical properties, good reliability specifications, and can be used as a connector material. |
